First Cherry Sunburst Gibson Les Paul is for Grabs at Carter for Only $625
Walter Carter of Carter Vintage Guitars said that the guitar is the earliest one with the version of the famous brand’s finish. “This is the first one with this yellow to red cherry sunburst, the ‘burst’ as we know it today started with this guitar.” he adds.
Originally shipped out of the factory in May 28, 1958, the guitar was then an experimental piece. Years have passed and the guitar was noted legend by music historians and enthusiasts.
Vince Gill, music legend from Nashville, remarked the guitar as “Stradivarius” and many legends have laid their hands on the piece, including Eric Clapton and Duane Allman. Read the full story here.
