An Anonymous Donor Gives More Than One Hundred Rare Guitars to a Conservatorium of Music in Tasmania but Under One Condition
A collection of 130 rare guitars were given to Tasmania’s Conservatorium of Music by an unknown Tasmanian collector, but under the condition that they will be played.
The collection included some unique items like the 1885 Reliance five string banjo, a 1920s Harmony Parlour guitar and two of the only 11 Guild Finesses available in the world.
It also included handmade guitars from respected Australian luthiers and many other famous brands. The conservatorium deputy head promised that these guitars will be played.
